What is a Dental Examination?
Dental Examinations are carried out every 6 months, at which, your dentist checks the lining of your mouth, teeth and the health of your gums. Following your examination, your dentist will make you aware of any potential treatment required. They will also discuss your options with you at the end of the appointment, thus allowing you to make an informed decision.
For patients who have full upper and lower dentures, it is best practice to have a dental extermination every 12 months. Dentists carry out a cancer screening check during the examinations, to detect any changes in the lining of your mouth. Changes can be detected at an early stage if you are being seen regularly.
